Cannon at Edinburgh Castle

The view from a cannon mount in Edinburgh Castle. I think we are looking in the direction of the Royal Mile and towards the Firth of Forth and Inchkeith in the distance.

Sunset view over Edinburgh

This was the view from the plane as we flew into Edinburgh.

The view from the 18th tee at Lough Erne

The scary view from the 18th tee at Lough Erne Golf Resort. 200 yards over water and into the breeze.

I wasn’t brave enough to tackle it from the back tee but I did manage to hit the green from the medal tee. I then proceeded to 3 putt, D’oh!

Conn O’Neill Bridge in East Belfast

This was a #Google #autoawesome of a picture I took of the (famous?) Conn O’Neill #Bridge in #East #Belfast. “The O’Neills were for one thousand years great warriors in #Ulster and Conn O’Neill was the last of these great O’Neill #chieftains. Conn was something of a #rogue and like to hold great parties at his stronghold, Grey Castle, also named ‘The Eagle’s Nest’ due to its situation on the #Castlereagh hills. Conn O’Neill gave his name to the #Connswater #River, Connswater Bridge and the Conn O’Neill Bridge. This bridge is recorded as being built in the late 1800s however local legend would suggest that Conn and his clansmen used it to travel from the Grey Castle to Belfast town in the early 17th century.”
